can't find anything myself either. looks as though the're going to risk a large fine rather than have the public see how right we are.

D'u think they sent them to the press by post

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Although i dont think it'll be a huge profit,it must be a reasonable annual report,if it were a lousy report and showed a financial loss would'nt RM of flashed that fact about

Could the union as for the results under the freedom of information act? I understand that RM would have to respond within 20 days. If fact if I knew what the correct term is (End of Year Results? Profit and Loss figures?) I would writeto them myself and ask.

They are not going to release that report whilst the strike is on...
It reveals the huge bonuses they paid themselves and every other
department in the company except us.....Usually the shareholders
would complain about this but because the government want to stitch
us up they don't care...

By the way can someone tell me what DOM's actually do apart from ponce
around the DO all morning.....sack all of them and a much
better pay deal could be afforded

What annoys me is they preach about saving money but in the same breath are willingly incurring a fine rather than reveal the figures. Double standards/hypocricy. Likewise they would be quick to cry 'illegal' if people walked out unofficially (not that I`m in favour of that at present) but are more than happy to break the law when it suits them.
You can guarantee that after these figures eventually reach the public domain (one way or another), the next lot of figures 6 months down the line will be out ASAP along with the quote "we have suffered financially due to the industrial action".

They agree to talks with the union on the day the figures should be released? A bit suspicious - make a deal before they find out the truth !
