Simples, the membership voted in favour of doing something different with ESA, the 2007 agreement comitted both sides to look at doing something different and if no agreement it would be retained as grandfather rights. But as we know agreement was reached and endorsed by the mebership!
Nowt about dawn shift in either 2007 or 2010 agreement so it should have been left alone by RML, RML decided that 2010 allows them to do away with dawn shift as well, which is complete bolloks, therefore the CWU set out to reverse RM decison to scrap dawn shift allowance.

There wasn't much of a contest really when only one side of the argument was being pushed down their throats, there being no Plan B and no full disclosure to the electorate of the whole agreement.

It's for anyone who previous to "Transformation 2010" was in receipt of Dawn Shift Grandfather Rights' payment no matter what function.
And guess who gets it?......................yes I know I don't deserve it, nor the delivery supplement but hey in the winners and losers stakes I guess I must be one of the winners

Ah well, Teebs, although I was against the agreement, secretly I was supporting dingo, you do know he is practically my best pal I mean all that money (not that I actually know how much it is) for doing nothing.................................... pro rata of course.

I want to know why the CWU felt the need to PROTECT some members shift allowance while at the same time SACRAFICING other members shift payments ?
Is this a 2 tier union ?
All this dispite the fact that we all pay the same union dues.

Well it was suggested that there WOULD be winners and losers by a prominent poster on here - you have asked the right question though, is it 2 tier or even more? Where does the strata appear I wonder - well one is the FT/PT subscription but there are most certainly others

Because ESA WAS part of 2010 and but Dawn shift WAS NOT part of 2010.
big daz i no this will prob drag on pal but what is the diffrence between DSA and ESA we were one of the first LDOs to get the ESA we started at 530 for the past 2 years and there was only about 6 offices out off about 29 that got it

Well thank you for asking maisy, as it happens I don't have any friends in my office, many work colleagues with whom I have a reasonable rapport, though I often get bullied and harassed
As for the union glitterati, they are round my dinner table as I speak, chewing the fat, well those two are, I'm a bit on the slimmer side - one of the other union officials from the golden smoke has been on their mobiles 72 times since tea time.
Mind you judging from a report in the Daily Mirror, it isn't a very healthy place to live, apparently social diseases are rife in the capital .................. I didn't realise they are so friendly.
