Im on leave at the moment,but spoke to the father in law today ,it sounds as if the office was in a mess with our Dom having to do bag drops and trying to throw off 2 walks as well

I do fell a bit sorry for him as hes a decent bloke,liked by most of the staff ,He must hate :lfo and :cfo more then most of us.

Mail Centres are very good at hiding work. Those big trailers parked up on the wall are probably full of mail. Seen it used time and time again when some big customer is visiting, and especially at Christmas. "The mail is out there.''

We haven't caught up from Saturdays yet - loads of mail sort packets and flats left behind. At our place they want you out the door on time so they can try and keep a cap on the cut off's. Probably get bags of unsorted mail from the MC tomorrow and the s**t will be deeper, and then to make it worse for them our strike is on Thursday - he he its good working for RM at this precise moment in time.

That is something which has been going on for years. It's vary rare you see cancelled stamps these days.

rumours going round that all walks in our office will have collections put back on the end of the duty . not good news for all but would stop the runners and early starters.

Ours is a small office (18 walks) and in 13 yrs I've never seen it as bad.Yesterday we only took letters,no pkts.Today we took a mixture of 1st class and a bag of pkts each.When I left there were 4 yorks of pkts,4 of letters and flats and 2 yorks of sky we haven't touched.We should have done the rolling strikes from day one.I cant wait to see the backlog come Sat.
