A NEW Post Office will be officially opened in South Harrow today nearly a year after the old one shut down.
A shop at 303 Northolt Road will become the new home for the South Harrow Post Office after a long wait for residents who have been forced to travel to the town centre or Northolt for services.
The closure of the old post Office, which suddenly shut last October following a row between Post Office Ltd and the shop owners, was much lamented by residents in the local community.
Politicians from all sides of the political divide have campaigned hard for a new branch, and Councillor Asad Omar, Mayor of Harrow, is due to open the new service this morning at 10am.
