Light Mondays and Tuesdays

Post by Postman Plodd »

Its always been a bit lighter on the first couple of working days of the week and heavier Wed-Thur-Fri but over the last month or so its been a lot lighter and then we've been getting hammered later in the week. Anyone have any ideas as to what's happened to bring this about?

maybe people have got fed up waiting till 3pm for there important letters and have set up email systems with all there letter senders.

what has it came to when royal mail are sending out temp postmen that dont even wear uniform and with a workforce so crushed and spat on , bulllied and horrased . the public dont exzactly like us thanks to the CWU strike for change techniques which only gets you a crap deal anyway.

well done rm youve dug your own grave. the cwu just make a noise doing it.

And thank you adam crozier !

Because firms like UK Mail and TNT store up their DSA until its more profitable to send them to the MC's in bulk, thats why we get mullered Thurs and Fri and most of Saturdays gear is DSA.

Belial is spot on - MC have stopped any Sunday working so what you get on a Monday is from a full saturday shift at the mail centre..............

Then Mondays at MC's is skeleton staffing so very little gets done, hence very light tuesdays, then all back to normal at the MC Tuesday - Saturday hence we get hammered Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat.

Wait till Autumn pressure, some duties struggle to complete now and there's not that much about is there!

Lapsing will be a thing of the past soon.........mwuaahhh hahaha :Very Happy

Am I missing something here? at my MC late shift Monday is the busiest time of the week with the most people on the floor. So why do delivery posties say that Tuesdays are quiet? where does all that mail go then.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

All MCs now work during the day on Sundays and you also have some of the night shift starting Sunday night.Mondays on the early shift have always been light as long as i have worked for RM,early Mon-Fri duties are like gold dust.
