MORE than 700 Islanders signed a petition in town on Saturday to try to secure the future of Jersey Post.
Members of the Communications Workers Union were in King Street from 11 am to 4 pm inviting people to sign the petition, which urges the States to intervene on behalf of Islanders to maintain the level of postal services in the Island.

It's not bad in 5 hours on 1 street in 1 day.
Although if they really wanted to make a statement why didn't they organise a more long term effort.
