sunday working

I wopr5k in Southampton and they are trying to introduce Sunday working. They asked forvolunteers but got very little respose and so now they have imposed a resign which has created duties to include Sundays (but not for every duty). This is causing a lot of people unnecessary stress and some are talking of resigning. I have heard that Southampton is the only MC that is trying to impose Sunday duties. Is this a form of bullying?? I actually volunteered to perform Sunday hours on a rotate basis, but I do not want to work every Sunday as my partner is a delivery postie and Sunday is our onlyt day as a family. Any ideas of what we should do? I believe the union are all for this :P

The same thing has happend at Greeford MC.I understand that it will happen at all Mail Centres,but nobody has yet said what is the reason for the change.

we here informed in October last year that our MC would move to Sunday day working 0800-1600 our usual duty time was a SUnday night 2200-0600 on the onday. Nothing was heard until April 2010 when we heard the union had been negoitating withiout any cocsultation with its members . In june we had a resign d Sunday working was imposed on us. However no work moves until the drivers come in at Midnight the bulk of our PDO.s are closed at night so advancing the work ha gained nothing. The only people to benefit are the managers who are covering Suindays on OT i guess at double time! The travel problems for some ve been a problem as the trains do not start running early . A complete waste of time and Money with no good explanation .
