Lifelong dream sees book in print for Trowbridge author

A Trowbridge author has pledged to give 10 per cent of the royalties from her children’s novel to Help For Heroes.

Anita Colella, who lives on Seymour Road with her fiance Simeon Bush, has been writing since 1997 and recently published her first book.

The postwoman said: “I have been writing bits and bobs, but I just thought, I’m only five years away from hitting 40 and have done nothing.”

She has already launched The Enchantment of Annelle, a children’s novel, with the help of her sister Cheryl Colella, who lives in London, who edited and illustrated it. They are already working on a second one for the series.

The sisters also run a wedding stationery and jewellery business, Tiddy Dee Designs, and are keen to make as much as possible for Help For Heroes.

Miss Colella said: “It’s something we both feel incredibly strongly about. It’s a very worthwhile cause. We will be giving 10 per cent of the royalty from each of the books in the series to the charity.”
