One thing that gets me if how they say SD items should be kept on your person at all times.
I only leave my trolley (locked up and locked to something) to do small loops.
If the trolley is secure enough to leave the rest of the mail in it, why is it not secure enough for SD items?
If it's not secure enough for SD items to be left in, it's not secure for the rest of the mail IMO.

The difference is a book of stamps apology and £500 quid compensation I would imagine.
The thing is how do you keep them on your person if you aren't using a pouch - and if you are why would you need a HCT?

Precisely. I don't carry a pouch since my AOD. My trolley is never really out of sight either though when it's locked up... I'm rather paranoiddvbuk55 wrote:The difference is a book of stamps apology and £500 quid compensation I would imagine.

As a work plan this is really a bit flakey, they are going to have to drop the disciplinary aspects and get used to mail theft on a scale never seen before. The CDV trolleys are not to be left unattended for more than a minute - now lets just say you need an urgent comfort break with a CDV trolley in tow - now, even if there is a convenient toilet how do you get it in the stall with you, or do you leave the door open and lose your modesty, or you need to ask a customer to use their toilet, do you take the trolley upstairs to he bathroom or chance leaving it in the hall, outside or whatever.Aprilaydee wrote:Precisely. RM are already working on that one. They want you to carry a portaloo round with you. As it fits in with lightening the load, shouldn,t be a problem.

There's no chance of anything being nicked on my round anyway, the people I deliver to know everything that's going on with everyone at all times loldvbuk55 wrote:As a work plan this is really a bit flakey, they are going to have to drop the disciplinary aspects and get used to mail theft on a scale never seen before.
