A good security system would prevent you doing that. But I'll be surprised if they're using anything that sophisticated (and expensive) at RM.

The DRAW agreement is AFAIK available to all RM employees on the Intranet and all RM employees should have access. However as they don't especially in DOs POSTMAN is merely attempting to lift a PUBLICLY accessible document so that he can post it on here. There may be a question over breaking the encryption, but I can't see any issue over copying a public document.

If it's publically accessable why is it encrypted? Why is it pass-word protected? Who said it's OK to repost RM stuff on a non-RM site?
Employees have been out the door for less...but if that's paranoia..

As postman said, I asked about this and was told the same by my Manager, even he can't put stuff on his Mem Stick and work on stuff at home now,
But his Mem Stick will still work on any RM comp so he says.So going by this they must have a corporate key file on the RM comps with is used automatically
to decrypt files on the fly.

Wow! I'm impressed! I didn't think that RM would go to the trouble and expense of getting a good security system. It looks like they've done something right for a change

Sadly, that doesn't help us get the supposedly public document out to everyone who should have access to it. Bloody typical that! They issue something which is supposed to be available to all employees. And encrypt it, so that we can't get at it! Only in Royal Mail, eh?

I suppose it'll be like someone reading the traffic figures on the intranet who's not supposed to have access or is that part of your job

Some other Managers and DSM's could learn a thing or two from him on this and quite a few other points, As for traffic figures, RCS, TM1 or anything else for that matter we get to see it all.

We get nothing, no access to the computers, no information unless approved by area management but then we've no time at work to actually do any of these things because of our workload
