A POST Office in Camberley has had to close after being damaged in a torrential downpour on Wednesday.
Royal Mail said the interior of its branch in Princess Way had been damaged by flash flooding and a clean-up operation was under way.
The post office is expected to reopen in a couple of days.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: “A deep clean is currently being carried out in the building and we hope to have it back up and running in the next few days.
"We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.”
Elsewhere in the town, Glen Fulton, manager of The Mall, dismissed reports that the shopping centre had been flooded, while town centre manager Shelly Ford said light surface water had quickly dried up following the rainfall.
