Its not about strolling, its about only working when you will be paid for doing the work (i.e. not coming in unpaid early or prepping d2d during your breaktime or for nothing outside your finish time) and then working all aspects of your assigned duty to the letter of the law, including...

Using all your paid meal relief every day, which will be at least 20 minutes, but more likely to be 30 or 40 per shift (size of break is dependent on your contract plus any agreed overtime that has been sanctioned by your lino).
Prepping and delivering 1/6th of your door to door, Monday through Saturday.
Killing off "deads" on a daily basis.

Must be me but i would of thought that if most of us finished on time then there would not be much scope for RM to give us more work. :hmmmm

BUT now we have falling mail volumes, new super dooper sorting machines which WILL give us more outdoor work to do.

BUT again,it would be a lot less if the 1st bit of this post was adhered to. :d'oh!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If you don't come in early to prep( in your time), if you don't cut corners by leaping over flowerbeds
leaving gates open, doorstepping (any bad practice basically )
Then finishing early would be applauded :Applause

If however your doing any of the above including not taking a break!
Prepare to have your intelligence questioned.
