Re: The 'How was your D2D today?' thread
Think you lot r missing the point, why should one postie dly 1800 items over five days, the next frame have none.Yet still get the same wage."Delivery Supplement £20.60",Meaning,Deficiency,addition,extra added part.So who gets it when we lapse walks. Its not part of your Basic pay,Who on this gods earth gave this the go ahead. You cant prep them in before letters and flats they get in the way.You cant prep after because your frame is to full. Its just a shambles.Give me back the old way of d2D's.Do them in my own time ,and pay me for what i do........

Or maybe you are missing the point.
Why should one postie deliver 1500 letters/day and the postie next to him deliver 900 and get the same wage? Answer - because you are paid for the hours you work and not what you do in those hours.
D2D took out 16 hours from our office today for prep and delivery. If you want to do them in your own time that means 16hrs more lapsing (4 more walks) or 2 full time jobs gone. Which of those 2 options would you prefer?

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: The 'How was your D2D today?' thread
Has anyone had a 'day specific' door to door yet?
We had a Scottish postcode lottery leaflet come in last wednesday. As we do around 17% a day most duties cleared around 68% of them and left the rest. Obviously we no longer get paid extra for late arrivals. However the wording on the leaflet (only 3 days to go etc) would suggest the company expected 100% cleared on the Wednesday they came in.
Anyone had this?

The CWU better pull their fingers out of there ARSES and get RM back round the table, we the HONEST & HARD working workforce are being CONNED & ROBBED with these new payments for D2D's.. We doing these now for the Protection of jobs - Bullsh!t - £404m profit tells it all.

I would have thought someone with your experience Onaflyer woudn't need to be told that the D2D has feck all to do with the delivery supplement.OnAFlyer wrote:That's right, money for nothingBELIAL wrote:Then a blinder played by the CWUOnAFlyer wrote:0 for me this week![]()

How is 0 D2D into workload working out for you by the way.
And B. surely you would have to wait until you see if RM secure less D2D contracts than last year before we decide whether the union played a blinder since the contribution to the delivery supplement from D2D is fixed at last years payout.
And do you know how likely that is?
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
