On this site we are all just indivuduals with a view. How do we know if what anyone say is factual ?

At the risk of repeating myself both postman and hampshire seem to be confusing the IWT with geo route as the IWT does not having walking speeds other than to and from frames and the PS lockers.

Now in terms of the issue hampshire has raised well at what stage of the process is your office. As stage 2 has a clause and a joint sign of process which means both sides have to express they belive that the information for both geo route , aplus and the iwt is correct. Stage 3 is the first cut of the duties.

If hampshire think things are wrong well if he is the local rep then raise it up to the area rep, or the divisonal rep or even HQ.

The union has got a 6 step process which puts the union rep totally involved in the processs and if he or she is not then you do not go past step 2 and you flag it up the union channels and via the framework.

It is really that simple if what people say is true.
It's IWT led I believe because the idea is that IWT will show the hourly savings; which then creates the time to lapse

Hampshire , in your previous post you mention geo route and the fact that last year walks were confirmed as 3.5 hours but now geo route state that they are 2.5 hours.

So is your office having full intregrated revision which means that both the iWT and geo route is used. ?

The IWT is not designed for lapsing , it is designed to give your office the correct amount of hours to perform the various aspects of indoor work , and it will depend what performance your office is working at to what BSI the machine is working at.

With regards to geo route 2008 doing what you say then that is rubbish. Geo route 2008 has reduced walking speeds on the previous software package and increased the attendance times at the door and allows for seperate indivdual walk call rates.

My guess if geo route has done this then your aplus is wrong and you have not done sid and sarah. Sid and sarah is where indivuduals point out all the delivery points on their computer and any hazards , any places for cdvs to park.

Now Dvb I cant speak for other divisions but we have now got in London a technical delivery expert from the CWU for each branch . This indivdual will have a weeks planners course and will be available to assist the local rep in each office within their branch on all the neccessary revison tools.

In addition all local reps and area reps have access to a 3 hour IWT training course and a number of local reps have already been on them.

The CWU are also in the process of setting up courses and in divisons we will be taking reps through the one outward pass , one inward pass , the batch systems , the workplan, the menu of options , geo route and iwt .

So training is around , its down to reps at divisonal and branch/area level to ensure it takes place. Remember its written in the agreement.

Dingo;

I do belive that Georoute must be involved . I will have to look further; if given an opportunity. Take your point on Aplus and will ask about this.

But it's not a CDV revision. It's on current method. ie.e bikes

Thanks

Hampshire

Revision for my D.O starts Monday

Non Sequenced Self enabled

DTD into workload utlise all paid work hours attendance patterns

Utilise all paid work hours is going to be interesting as there isnt enough indoor work in the D.O to sustain the the current number of IPS duties.

Of course there are good area reps - probably as many as there are sycophantic unit reps. :cuppa

Nothing has been said, however the Absorption Dalek is en route to my D.O so Im gonna :pray for the membership. Due to arrive September once managerial annual leave is done and dusted. I doubt RML will fill all the vacanies we are building up, but some might.

The DOM has been told he cant use RM Casuals due to the workforce going home so early thus showing absorption oppurtunties :arrrghhh :d'oh! no doubt the mbrs will wish to blame me for their failure to listen to the CWU. Ive allready said no to more absorption on a techicality but this technicallity can be overcome at which point I dont think I can come up with a reasoned response to say no (IR framework commands that a reasoned response must be given when saying no) and given 2007 agreemement Im a bit stuck as the proposal is for 61 calls spread over 4 deliveries so very mild and very achiveable. If the Dalek launches a full out attack then Im gonna throw revision defence at it and see if it shields hold up or later in the face of my onslaught. Any large scale absoprtion when we are in the process of revision work is desperation, RML top brass should relax and wait to see what the revision throws up :hmmmm

Weve got a new one as the orginal is seconded to divisional level to assist the two divisional reps. The sub area del rep is performing all duties of the ADR at the moment so we also have a acting Sub ADR to cover the leave of the Sub ADR.

What is your staffing ratio?

Mainly FT of whom the majority do IPS, Reserves are 7 x 40 hours and 1 x 32 hours. Floaters are 1 x 30 Hour AWD and 1 X 32 AWD and 8 X 40 hour AWD. PT 1 X 20 hour AWD, 7 x 30 hour AWD. FT are 19 X 40 hour Urban AWD, 15 x 40 hour rural AWD, 2 X 40 hour SPDO AWD, 2 X Bagpacket 40 hour AWD, 2 X 40 hour Firms AWD, 2 X locker 40 hour AWD. 5 X 40 hour AWD will be vacant by Xmas due to forthcoming retirements and current vacanies and we also have the 32 hour floater AWD vacant. On top of that we lost 2 X fixed term contracts both 30 hours earlier this year so by Xmas we will be eight OPG's down.
