Are we talking age or weight?
Reproduction of our photographic portfolio is strictly Verboten - legal action is possible - more likely we'll get her to sit on your face, survival is unlikely :cool

Sod that! I'd rather do a 5 hr delivery with Saga travel brochures, Sky mags, Studio Christmas catalogues and 6 d2ds in with heavy rain ( that comes down horizontally, cos the wind is gale force )! Needless to say, I won't be stealing your portfolio!
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!

How can mixing old and new uniform be 'not allowed' ?? Where does all this cr*p come from? What if you have a neighbouring DO that has new uniform and you don't? What a load of teabags. Just say your new one is in the wash - what they gonna do then?? Send you home?

Thats what my dom said about the id cards, anybody not wearing one will be sent home. Everyone had them on in the couple of weeks, then by third week half the staff forgot theres or couldn't be bothered wearing them. Did the dom send them home just because they never had their id cards, nope!

When we were issued with our new uniform (I think it was 2 years ago) we had to hand in our old gear.

Needless to say, people held on to one or two favourite items. As long you showed up with some old stuff the linos were happy.
Yes, I’ve still got my Harrington and yes the very first items to be ditched were those bloody awful blue/purple trousers. To be honest though, I hardly ever wear the Harrington now.

The new uniform is pretty good. Waterproofs are good. Trousers are good apart from fact that they’re still using that flimsy mesh for the internal pockets – why do they do that? Shirts have hardly altered. Fleece is the same just red rather than blue, oh and they’ve gone back to the large toothed zip. Never got the beanie hat, despite ordering it, so can’t pass comment.

And then there’s - - - the kagoul. Now in theory this should be a useful bit of clothing. Nice and light, won’t make you hot, ideal for fending off showers. Wrong! Think again. This thing is about as water repellent as kitchen towel. I keep promising myself that I’ll try waterproofing it with some of that spray that they sell in Millets but I’ve yet to get around to it.

Overall though, pretty good – better than the old stuff.

What are the odds that in a future edition of the Courier there will be a picture of some 'postie' up Everest wearing a new coat
