Considering d2d is now considered live mail.........bit silly to be taking them home i would say, especially when RM seem to be looking for excuses to reduce staff!

So how did your office work out...any problems or did everything run smoothly?fishtank wrote:POSTMAN wrote:Didn't dingo say 5 was to be trialled 1st,north west or east, somewhere up that way.
Lots of offices had 5 last week including ours and it didn't look like part of any trial..they were all pre-existing long term contracts like Sky,Specsavers etc....unless they are waiting to see if they get any negative feedback from the Customers.

Re: Five D2D
We have had a similar thread to this before with identical answers. the answer is work to your time, as long as your not doing anything wrong out there like going home, or going into a mates for tea, there is nothing they can do. You only do your absorbing IF you have TIME. I sometimes get my manager to my frame before I bag up and tell him "I won't finish in time what do you want me to do" he tells me "I'll pay you if you go over" my answer is Nay, the tower block at the end of the walk stays in......

Most of the guys have it sussed now and just do it by the book so there hasn't been much in the way of lapsing getting done lately.cow post wrote:So how did your office work out...any problems or did everything run smoothly?fishtank wrote:POSTMAN wrote:Didn't dingo say 5 was to be trialled 1st,north west or east, somewhere up that way.

My sector only had 1.
On wednesday and thursday the managers were pulling their hair out because they coudn't cover the duties and were phoning around the other D.O.s trying to get spare bodies but they were warned at the resource meeting the week before that they were sailing too close to the wind....managers always know best.
We were supposed to have 5 new starts this week but i don't know how that turned out as i haven't been in this week.
it should be fun when the mail starts picking up again in a couple of weeks.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Was doing a duty on overtime today, not my usual round, and the guy left the D2D's supposedly counted.bunkerland wrote:bensonhedge wrote:take em home, get in early on monday, prep em up,fly out the door, see you tuesday
Considering d2d is now considered live mail.........bit silly to be taking them home i would say, especially when RM seem to be looking for excuses to reduce staff!
Only there was about 5 left over.
So what should I do??
Put them back in the postbox or take them home to return monday or bin em??

Re: Five D2D
we had 5 last week, loads not completed, it was either will i take the lapsing or will i do the d2d? mangers went with do the lapsing, they still see d2d as d2d and not part of the workload/live mail.
some folks still hammering them all out in 1 day, which is not a problem as its up to us apparantley to balance our workload, but they did them all and were still finished before their finishing time! heres the rope.......
so to sum it up, confusion still reigns
not had any customer compliants as yet re the increase, just the usual 'more rubbish for the recycle bin'
