It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

new ILSM is only being built up at the moment at GMC but if they tell you walk sequenced mail will arrive at DOs for say SEPT/OCT then i would think you could safely count on it arriving at the DOs by about next MARCH given RMs track record on dates :roll: first lot of staff were supposed to get induction training for ILSMs on FRIDAY night-shift but the guy never turned up(probably wasn't told training was to start so soon......we are the communications industry afterall :Very Happy )so i would'nt put the kettle on for WSM just yet. :cuppa

No fair having to spend the fair in the unfairest of places!
Still its better than having a run of the mill 9 to 5 job where you have to stay away on bank holidays! I pity the fools who spend there nights at home with their families or out socialising with hobbies and the such! LOSERS!!!

There is something to be said for shift work! you save loads on not having to spend on luxurys! and the money you save on just wearing uniform!!!

Nothing much happening in the mail center!! unless anybody has anything to add????????

had to call out an engineer 3 times today! then my van broke down when i was leaving the RLO!! made me late for the PPI table!

I never thought this through! the whole daily blog thing! I guess in our line of work I could get away with copying the same words day after day after day after day etc!!!

I done some stuff with letters and packets and the such today! Well done me!

If anyone ever asks me what I do for a living I usually say kitten strangler or erectile dysfunction model just to save the embarrassment!

Does anyone else ever get the feeling that the management team at GMC sometimes just blag their way through the week? should any of us actually take the job seriously? Also how many raisins in your mouth at the one time is too many!!??? :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana

Heard a lady in the lift in my MC telling her friend that she tells people she is unemployed and living on benefits
as she is so ashamed of working for Royal Mail these days. :sad:
