Well can I suggest you control yourself ccr, look at the trouble Michael Jackson got intoclashcityrocker wrote:My DOM keeps telling me how difficult his job has become, how I don't appreciate how hard he works and how his job is the hardest job in RM at the moment.
Given that most DOM's are s**t at their job I think a few more will be throwing "wobblers" and going sick.
They have lied and bullied to save their sorry asses over the past few years and now for some of them the chickens are coming home to roost.

If I live to be a 1000 years old, I'll never ever understand how DOMs thought they'd be forever immune to senior management's obsession with constantly trying to get a square peg in a round hole.

lol. this happens all the time in my office. it usually ends up with us posties doing the managing, and we do a far better job!!. honestly it's like a circus watching those guys trying to organise things.Eric Cantona wrote:A Line manager at my office threw a wobbler today, it started as the Dom was on his day off and it was up to the line manger to get the walks covered and the absorptions, he rang posties on their days off the day before and literally begged them to come in, he even asked one to come in and exchange it for a Saturday off, the postie said yes to that, everyone else gave him a big NO where the overtime was concerned.
He panicked and was like blue ass fly with sweat pumping out of him.
He then rang his regional boss and said he can’t handle the situation and went off sick with stress.
That’s telling you something when the mangers are hopping mad and going sick, if he had to do what I do every day he would know what stress is…

Probably why you end up with managers who can't manage and let you lads do their work for 'emanderzx wrote:lol. this happens all the time in my office. it usually ends up with us posties doing the managing, and we do a far better job!!. honestly it's like a circus watching those guys trying to organise things.Eric Cantona wrote:A Line manager at my office threw a wobbler today, it started as the Dom was on his day off and it was up to the line manger to get the walks covered and the absorptions, he rang posties on their days off the day before and literally begged them to come in, he even asked one to come in and exchange it for a Saturday off, the postie said yes to that, everyone else gave him a big NO where the overtime was concerned.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

This is the same manager that tried to do a postie for abandoning a duty a few weeks ago, but it was ok for him to abandon his duty. interesting to see what happens to him and next time it happens to a postie.

Re: Manager throws a Wobbler.
In truth I am probably as guilty as anyone for doing precisely what I have just posted against - it is not a frustrated manager syndrome, merely a distrust in their ability to multi-task or actually singular task if there is such a thing.POSTMAN wrote:This happens in my office DV,and i'm never happy about it.dvbuk55 wrote:Probably why you end up with managers who can't manage and let you lads do their work for 'emanderzx wrote:[lol. this happens all the time in my office. it usually ends up with us posties doing the managing, and we do a far better job!!. honestly it's like a circus watching those guys trying to organise things.OR maybe they aren't as daft as they appear to be - they get the money and the bonuses and you get........................................their work - only fools and horses then!
