You get 2 kinds of membership - trade and non trade. Members with trade cards can purchase things non trade members can't like fags, medicines and some booze. I still keep my membership from the company i used to work for. Books and clothes are good as they have different stuff to the high street and birkenstocks are always £10-15 under retail price :Very Happy

Although its no great panacea, its worth a mooch to check out the bargains.

My nearest one is about 40 miles away. Which, for this area, isn't that far. You have to remember to add VAT onto the prices you see on the shelf. That doesn't make it that cheap now, let alone when the 20% thing comes in. ASDA and the suchlike are just as cheap for booze etc and electricals can be found cheaper online.

From the film Idiocracy (brilliant film!!)

"selected private-label merchandise" for "selected employment groups" which is marketing language for 'tat for anyone.'
"The Company operated a chain of 555 warehouses in 40 states of the USA & Puerto Rico (408 locations), nine Canadian provinces (76 locations), the United Kingdom (21 locations), Korea (6 locations), Taiwan (5 locations through 55%-owned subsidiary) and Japan (8 locations), as well as 31 warehouses in Mexico through a 50%-owned joint venture." and I'm still tryig to think of anything any good that's ever come out of the USA.
