Re: Colleague Share payment end of june ?
just thought id add my piece to this....
now as far as im concerened,we have been shafted big time!!! our unit and im sure, the rest of the workforce have been led to believe that we would be getting a £400 colleague shares payment in june.
the £400 we did recieve was just one of the "carrots" royal mail were dangling before us as an incentive to vote yes and accept the new deal!!!
this £400 was buggerall to do with colleague shares!!!!
i was informed just today that the original news release on 1st june saying "all eligable employees will recieve £400 colleague shares payment in june",was actually changed a couple of days later to "all eligable managers"
throughout june we have been led to believe by royal mail that this £400 will be paid.but as we now know...we got nothing.
even during a unit meeting we were told by management that it would be in our accounts on the last payday in june!!! LIES!!!!!
our office manager even stood in front of us all and declared that "managers would not be getting the payment" LIES!!!!
today i learned from a colleague that a manager actually got a bonus of £3000!!! and a manager who i know very well who used to be the office manager in my unit, also got his £400!!!
make no mistake people..this is just the start of things to come!!! we are gonna get constantly s**t on with this "new deal".
we are the ones doing the hard work and getting f**k all for it!!!
while we work for a company full of back stabbing, lying, thieving scummbags!!!!!

I think it's on page 60 of the Agreement.postiej wrote:just thought id add my piece to this....

ColleagueShare/Lump Sums
As part of these negotiations Royal Mail and CWU have reviewed the ColleagueShare scheme. As a result the scheme has been enhanced in the following areas:
-
The 2010 dividend payment linked to business results due to be announced in June has been brought forward and the dividend will now be paid on ratification of the agreement.
-
The final instalment of ColleagueShares will be replaced for employees covered by this agreement, by lump sum payments including additional monies bringing the total to £1000 (pro rata for part time employees). These will be known as Transformation Lump Sums and payment is linked directly to key transformation milestones.
Additionally both parties recognise that ColleagueShares operates in a way that replaces our traditional approach to productivity and that only by reaching this agreement and working together to deliver transformation will the value of ColleagueShares be higher. The current value is £1.51 per share. They will be bought back by the company in two equal parts in 2011 and 2012.

Re: Colleague Share payment end of june ?
I think its bloody funny all the idiots that voted yes are now regretting it, perhaps next time, if there is a next time they will take time to read the small print or even be bothered to vote
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

Re: Colleague Share payment end of june ?
both posts above are very true.
only now do we see those muppets who voted this new piss take in,complaining like kids without dummies!!!
the fact that only 60,000+ of the workforce did not vote just goes to show that there are far too many who simply dont give a toss!!!
the post by fishtank is,for all we know correct and true, and "page 60 of the agreement",is most probably the page with all the small print!!
this does not alter the fact that throughout the month of june, we were told BY royal mail that we would be getting a £400 payment that is the colleague shares payment.at no time were we informed that we were not getting it because the cwu and royal mail have "reviewed" the scheme!!
the word "reviewed" in royal mail lingo actually means "screw over"!!!!
there are gonna be many more "reviews" in the coming months and years!!!

Which level of RM told you would get a payment in June? I assume it was local? Personally I think the agreement was very clear on the CS money for those that were able to get to read a copy of the agreement.

Re: Colleague Share payment end of june ?
Would that be the copy NOT sent out to the membership - because it was available to download from the internet - and they wouldn't want too many people reading into it what those of us who read all three did - mostly, in my case, because I expected a sell out and lo and behold.............I wasn't disappointed.Big Daz wrote:postiej wrote:both posts above are very true.

Re: Colleague Share payment end of june ?
our office manager told us we would be getting the payment. then he had the audacity to lie through his teeth again and tell us that "the managers would not be getting the payment either"!!Big Daz wrote:postiej wrote:both posts above are very true.

yet he knew all along that the managers would be!!
this whole thing stinks to high heaven!! the agreement was not clear regarding the colleague shares payment!! mark higson released a memo on the 3rd june clearly stating that there would be a payment in june!! then on the 4th of june he released another memo stating that the managers would be getting it!!
if there was a genuine mistake, why werent we told? all we were told was that the payment was going to be paid in june.if management knew we werent going to recieve a penny, why continue to lie and tell us we were?
this is by no means a local issue.this is yet another case of royal mail pulling a fast one and getting away with it!!
as for the rest of the "lump sums" we have been promised due to implementation of the new deal,we can more or less kiss those goodbye too, because me personally do honestly believe that royal mail will no doubt come up with another scam to avoid paying us the payments!!

I will guarantee Daz that the MAJORITY of members ON THIS SITE do not know that the transformation lump sums are also made up of our own Colleage Share money.

Royal Mail didn't dangle the carrot.....your union did.postiej wrote:

It was the CWUs insistance that the £400 was offered on ratification of the agreement.
Royal Mail wanted ALL lump sums tied into targets.
The CWU has always been against the Colleague Share system.
It is and always has been my opinion that EVERYONE should have been sent a copy of the agreement however it was available to download from here and the CWU website before the ballot opened and it does state in the agreement that the £400 was in place of the june dividend.

The moral of the story is never be daft enough to rely on what RM tell you but move heaven and earth if nesscary and yes i do accept you should not have to do that and geta copy of any future agreement and bloddy read it before voting so whatever way you vote you do on the basis of being as informed as possible.
