It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: have your DOM ignored the D2D agreement
Floater for some reason did not take his 16% on Friday , came in on Saturday morning
and got told to take Fridays and Saturdays D2Ds as its live mail and its now my responsibility
to clear it.
Told my manager where to go , he went into office and phoned DOM (only works Mon - Fri).
DOM phones me at 6.00am and tells me to clear it or wilful delay conduct Monday morning.
Took Saturdays D2Ds but left Fridays so tomorrow should be an interesting morning.

If your DOM is so concerned about this and making threats, why the f**k was he not doing his job and checking that all the frames were clear and that everyone had thrown them in for delivery friday.
This is what really pisses my off, they don't do their job and then want to threaten us if we won't clear their mess for them.

Be careful on Monday because your DOM is right.
You CANNOT refuse to take the D2D whether it's 1 day worth,2 days worth or the whole weeks worth.
It is live mail and the dutyholders(you on Sat) responsibility to see that it is delivered to spec.
What you must do in this situation is prep Fridays AND Saturdays and then explain to your manager if you will not have enough time to deliver your entire walk.
The fact that it failed on Friday means absolutely f*ck all to you and any conduct case brought against you.
DO NOT AT ANY TIME REFUSE TO DELIVER LIVE MAIL.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

If your fully trained and the task is safe do it and let the managment do THEIR job and worry about completion issues.

Sign of the times ,management failure is rife and growing. The delivery spec is out the window, management do not have the resources or will to ensure compliance. 1st classGeezer wrote:dayjur wrote:Floater for some reason did not take his 16% on Friday , came in on Saturday morning
