Two men have been arrested after a cash box was stolen during a delivery to a north Derbyshire post office.
Police were called out to Calow Post Office on Top Road at around 10am yesterday (Wednesday) following reports that two men had approached a van making a delivery of money to the post office, grabbed a box of cash and made off in a blue Peugeot 306.
The car was driven off towards Duckmanton, hit a wall on the way there and was finally abandoned in the village where police arrested one of the suspects.
Officers recovered the stolen box of cash and then arrested the other suspect in the Duckmanton area shortly afterwards.
The cash delivery man was not injured.
