Not to clear at the moment.South & east London look a bit more vulnerable than the mount, but that is only a whisper.

I'm sure people at the top KNOW - they're not letting on just yet!RMMP wrote:Not to clear at the moment.South & east London look a bit more vulnerable than the mount, but that is only a whisper.
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Re: mount pleasant closure
I would have your 10 pound then. There is a mail centre review going on in line with the National agreement which includes East London , Mount and South London.
Royal Mail do not need to give their perfered option until September , so no one knows which mail centre or mail centres may close at this stage.
However on top of the mail centre review , Royal Mail want to remove the inward foreign from the Mount and put it into HWDC ( langley ) this in its self will result in appoxmately 470 jobs going in the mount.

Re: mount pleasant closure
I think we should all ingnore the rumours until they actually happen. The rumour in east london is that there office is safe ,and that the other two are more under threat.

Re: mount pleasant closure
Sorry i should have explained my first reply more clearly.I meant to say that rumours are rife in the three london mail centres.Where one mail centre might hear that they are safe, the same is probably being said in the other two offices, and management are well aware that all of the workforce will be worried.I meant to say in my first reply, just to ignore the rumours until the decision has been made, because no one really knows the truth apart from the top brass.

Re: mount pleasant closure
Believe me the so called top brass do not know either, the only ones who know are the top brass in Royal Mail and they do not have to tell until the 3rd of september. However they will give their 3 options in late July.
