What i dont get is how the D2D into workload is being used in the revisions? I cant understand how there is total office hours needed to run the unit but the workload for D2D is variable from 1 to 6 items on every duty.

So if there is no set amount of D2D then where does the hours to run the office come from when every duty in the office on a given week hits 6 items? Is this calculated with the average model week traffic figures nonsense?

Our office is not on the list to start the D2D into workload from Monday 7th June, however, management in our office are going ahead with it anyway.
I was under the impression that we had to have an office revision before implementation of D2D into workload.
Can anyone advise.
We don't have an experienced CWU rep.

All offices are moving D2D into workload on the 7th.
The list only relates to areas that will get 4 D2D.
I do agree that it would have been more sensible to have had a revision first however that will not happen now.

The following will be of help

In the interim to ensure that D2D workload is covered effectively in line with this agreement, and in advance of units realigning duties through full revision activity to take account of D2D, resourcing of hours associated with the workload linked to D2D will be dealt with through locally agreed interim arrangements and reviewed through the weekly resourcing meetings in all delivery units. To aid the transition, offices that have not deployed delivery methods revisions will have to provide genuine and demonstrable solutions to any weight or volumetric issues.

Is the DOM meant to give us extra time in the duty now to prep the D2D's? We've been told no extra time because the mail is dropping off.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Absorption of DTD into workload is allowed if there is time. CWU made that very clear in a LTB a few weeks ago. However the manager must present the rep with the nesscary evidence.

DTD into workload wont really come into its own untill the revisions.
