We normally get them moaning about the LSM/iLSM's running late - followed by them marching down the machine and grabbing a handful of mail for their "walk".

They normally do EXACTLY the same when we are trying to dispatch the mail....
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

No. I don't think that the majority of Posties are whingers. If they were, then RMC would have just as many people complaining all year round. Instead, were often very quiet, when there's no major changes, or votes taking place. But we DO get very busy, when people need information about current and forthcoming changes. And also, when we need to complain about poor treatment.

Just look back at the gaps between the times when there's been IA, changes to T&Cs, or people suffering bullying and harrassment. It's surprising how quiet we get during the calm periods. :hmmmm

So basically, I think you're confusing justifiable complaints, and whinging. Don't you? :hmmmm

"we're often very quiet" - that's very true. Of over 15,000 users of this forum, 99% have made under 300 posts and 90% have made just 13 or less. It's a good job a few of us on here make an effort to liven it up now and again, even if we're then accused of being whingers. :Very Happy

if we're onto quotes from John Milton surely "Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven" would be more appropriate on here. :nana

If I had to stay inside with all those useless managers then I think I'd go postal...............I enjoy it when I'm actually delivering but I can really do without the inside element.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
