But the important thing is if the delivery span is increasing in your office then either the part timer has to increase their hours or they work less days.
I don't like the sound of that dingo,i hope it was just a poor choice of words because to me that does not sound like the kind of thing i would expect to hear from a senior union official....what if they don't want to....will the union support our part-time brothers against this enforced change that may force some of them to leave their jobs.

Fishtank I did not mean forced , the national agreement states that fact as well. But there are a lot of part timers who do want to increase their hours and this should be an option going forward.

Equally there may be some who want to work less days of the week but the same amount of hours then this may be an option as well.

So you review the position every quarter and the "around" 75/25 split is not met - what then? Can you create the circumstances under which the magic ratio can be met - if you can't - what do you do to enforce the agreed ratio?

This is what prompts the question do YOU understand the level of change and if you do then why not be honest about it.
