Sheesh!
And end up getting done for wilful delay, or pulled into the office for bing slow. great advice.

How about work at a decent pace, and if there's time then do it - you're paid for it after all.
You must be management, if not you should be talking that way. And your not paid for lapsing, how the hell are you going to get done for wilful delay or being slow..you can't get done for wilful if you post all your mail..some people
Maybe I read it wrong

That's a good question......
Does the 3.30 max delivery span still stand until a delivery methods revision?
Maybe.....maybe not.....no-one seems to be able to answer this one.
If you have no time inside your contracted hours to lapse the answer is simple....if you do....not so simple. :whistle
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

its not strictly about how long your round is but
all to do with what time you finish
can you be out and delivering by 9.00? then your back at 12.30
if its 9.30 your going to struggle to be back for 1.00pm.
any later and you cant lapse
I'm a postman-and i know where you live.....

Using petrol money for your own duty is bad enough, but for another walk is ridiculous. Some people fly out of our office and off they go like Jenson Button , doing someone else walk plus their own. Crazy. As people have said, do your job properly and if you have spare time and they want you to absorb, then they sort out transport etc.
Always been my point, if they want me to take any "Extra" other than my walk, then they will have to take me to the "Extra" in a Royal Mail vehicle, not a Linos car as some do, then bring me back or take me to the start of my first delivery point, approx 15 mins, 15 mins and 15 mins,

45 minutes I don't have spare!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
