Sky mags have little in them thats time sensitive they have the tv schedule for he next month and a few celebrity articles /items.
they are printed well in advance.
When we are all doing 6 d2d a light Tuesday may be a luxury RM cant afford.

I asked this very question to the pegasus team and was told that the large customer business want the mailsort delivered nearer the end of the week. Due to polls taken that response is signicantly higher by householders as opposed to earlier in the week.

Following that logic we would be seeing more mailsort on Saturday.
with most family members home and the whole weekend to peruse it.

from that it also follows d2d would best all be delivered on a Saturday :cry
And catalogs and holiday brochures. :d'oh!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
