Late opening times for the callers office

Now i understand why im not the H/S rep im hoping soon someone in my office will take up the position.

On top of this ive got to get through the 6 phase revision oh the joys .

I'm pretty sure their is a issure which relates to why 2 workers have to onsite at one time.

Fairly sure there may be security concerns with this as well. Most callers offices have a safe and may hold higher value special deliveries. If people cotton on that there is only one person working, then surely your office could be targetted for a raid. Unlikely I know but its still a valid point. Good luck

Forgive me MB, the reason or understanding of why you are not a H/S Rep and thereby represent the health and safety interests of the CWU workforce at your place of work is simple. Recall this part of one of your recent posts.

I've just left the union, feel a bit sick really. Been a member of CWU ever since I joined RM, was a member of NATFHE for 6 years before then, strongly believe in "the trade union movement"...

Is it just me but what a crazy set up to come away with.Before the o/t cut backs in our office we operated a 3 p.m to 6 p.m. callers o/t duty with thurs/friday our busiest sessions (Wednesday was dead).Why dont they scrap the wed. shift and have 2 shorter stints, thurs. and fri.With nearly all the SPOs in our area closed half day customers will not be expecting late opening callers on a Wednesday

RM were being criticised for shorter opening hours for callers offices/long queues on Sat mornings etc. They came up with this idea. To be quite cynical about it, I suspect RM have deliberately done it like this so in a few months time they can say "well hardly anybody used the service" to justify stopping it

Yes. and sometimes I lock up when i finish on Saturdays.

I am under the understanding that there has to be 2 staff locking/opening up the office for security reasons,will this 1 person be doing that MB?

There just a joke trying this on,i have great concerns over this as im thinking about the worse case senarios ,but R/M are saying Feck you we just want our callers office open longer.

I honestly thought there would be a change in R/Ms tactics once the new deal went through but it hasnt and it never will.

I wouldnt mind its not even in my fecking job description H/S rep.They want a letter of disagreement i cant even be arsed to do one but before my shift starts on Monday 100% guaranteed I will have written one. As you can see im rather peed off about this.

I know one thing come Wednesday i very much doubt our callers office will be open past 14.00 unless a DOM mans it ON HIS OWN. Any hows update to follow Wednesday i shall let you all know whether my fight was won or lost. AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

That's not a bad idea MB.
Tell your DOM that your willing to go along with his idea of one OPG in the callers if he supplies one CMA grade.
That should result in a quick about turn.
