yes i have adopted this attitute the minute i walked in the door and told i have to work 8:30 until 1 instead of the 9:30 until 2 advertised

And also i have striaght away told them i do not work over my time which has backfired on them because they changed it to a 1pm finish .

Poor him i get the feeling he was thinking id just do overtime - haha

hes not happy i asked him why it was advetised 9.30 to 2 and he had no answer but what hes been trying to say is i HAVE to work until 2pm because thats my contracted hours he just has me in at 8.30 so i can get things organised - haha NO CHANCE

isnt it a joke that managers are allowed to try and mess u about with things and mess u about contract wise and the only answer is a company called cwu who seem to work with royal mail in the first place with regards to working practises .

im not interested just working my time anything inbetween i can cope with

From what i can work out basically full timers are paid until 2pm even tho they are mostly finished for 12:30 about time as they leave the office alot earlier than me and have alot easier walks with me being on the crappy starter walks.

Yes . Most full timers are paid till 2pm . Start at 6 ! We work a job and finish ( If nobody had bothered to tell you ? ) Here in my office, a full timer preps there own round and also a part timers . So then when you come in all YOU have to do is bundle your duty up and get out of the door ! The duties are done on seniority . So the more time you have done with RM , you can choose an easier duty . When a resign comes around .
As you have only just joined . You will be pushed from pillar to post !
After a time ? You will settle in to a duty and do it for a while ?

so answer this why are full timers given more time to finsh than part timers ? on the same length of walks apparently?

You will find their walks are 3 and half hours long as well, they work an eight hour day, first 3 hr 50 sorting mail for delivery including yours, 40 min break then 3 hr 30 on delivery, roughly theres bits and pieces taken off here and there, travel time pouching off etc, basically its the 3 hr 40 before they go out that is causing your issue, if they are sorted early then they are getting out the door early and thus finished early, they are still doing as much outdoor work roughly just finishing their indoor work quicker than they have been given, so thats why they are finishing early, an advantage of being fulltime unfortunately part timers dont have much indoor time.

Im FT,finish at 3.15 pm,yet there are part timers who can be finished by 11 A.M. no probs.Youll find a vast array of uneven workloads in RM,even though they have been trying for yonks to sort them out.All you should be worrying about is your contracted hours,you really have to honour them but you dont have to extend over them.You will have to lose the green eyed monster approach or youll go doo-lally.

just wait untill the xmas pressure starts and you will be on full time hours and you lose your day off and you get to do ips after your round aswell,

The scheduled finish time for FT duties in my D.O varies dues to longs and shorts and if you day off falls on a long day or short day. For example if you have a Monday or Tuesday off which are short days then you havent got as much time being redployed to the 2nd half of the week. Therefore the finish time is different as everyone FT apart from 2 duties starts at 6am.
