Re: wsm allowances
I'm sure they care about us, i just think they got alot of things wrong around door to door and sharing its funds with the workforce as a whole.Stormproof wrote:Totally agree Limey, CWU HQ don't seem to give a s**t about us in deliveries..........
Dingo said that delivery men were not trade unionists for questioning the payments to WSM workers, lets get one thing straight here and now, i am a union man through and through and want everyone to get their just reward for thier job in royal mail, we all work our hours and deserve the same rewards reguardless of what work is done within the hours we work.
The problem i have is now it seems indoor workers are going to get a payrise getting thier WSM supplement and the delivery one as well, we as delivery men are taking a paycut, Dingo saying that WSM workers should get the delivery suplement as they are in an office that has deliverys in my opinion is wrong, should i if i work in a delivery office that has WSM get thier suplement as well even though i do not work those machines?
It's a huge kick in the teeth and makes my job very hard trying to defend the unions actions in the workplace.

Re: wsm allowances
Dingo, you need to brief your reps.as some seem to think if you work on the mech or drive a 7.5 tonne vechicle, and work in a DO you wont recive the £20.60,as they already recive a allowence.what a load of bollox.a bit of communcation would be helpfull Dingo dont you think....Some of you need to read the national agreement , it says everyone tagged to the delivery office gets the supplement. So Royal Mail`s refusal to pay the £20.60 is wrong and hopefully will be reversed.

Re: wsm allowances
i do see your frustration, however the aggrement states,if you work in or tagged to a DO you should recive the £20.60.regardless of what job you do within the office i.e admin, collection drivers, recive the payment, only RTD driver and mech staff dont.AnotherLimey wrote:Just out of interest what allowance do they recive? they get a driving or mech allowance and should get a delivery one as well?mucker wrote:Dingo, you need to brief your reps.as some seem to think if you work on the mech or drive a 7.5 tonne vechicle, and work in a DO you wont recive the £20.60,as they already recive a allowence.what a load of bollox.a bit of communcation would be helpfull Dingo dont you think....Some of you need to read the national agreement , it says everyone tagged to the delivery office gets the supplement. Re: wsm allowances
Then you have a case, if you do not get driving allowance thats quite plainly wrong, however if you get a suplement for driving why should you get a delivery suplement, see my point here?mucker wrote:mail center driver,i dont recive a supplement..AnotherLimey wrote:mucker wrote:i didnt say you were pointing the finger at me,it is bang out of order, but as we should recive it that's the way it is. as i mentioned in my previous post.........AnotherLimey wrote:I'm not pointing my finger at you Mucker, just pointing out it's wrong, i'm sure you see that.mucker wrote:you need to point the finger at the top table, for the shite deal they negotiated with royal fail.and the muppets who voted yesAnotherLimey wrote:Oh i read the argeement thats for sure, what i did not read that delivery workers would take a big pay cut and everyone else in royal mail would take a 20 quid pay rise of thier backs, put yourself in my shoes for a minute or two, it sucks![]()
