This has been agreed by the CWU and DSM and a Doc sent out in my area explaining the new guidelines, Also the DSM has told Mansgers they will be putting thier own heads on the line if they don't enforce it.
Personally i am quite happy with this uniform stance as it now means we will have less if anytime to laps and the manager will have to except the extra time this will take.
It's by far the best way Geezer and i would expect eventually it will become the only way as Royal Mail managers realise that there is now no returns service and all undelivered D2D has to be accounted for.
There is NO other way for management to properly police this and once they start getting the awkward questions things will change.....for the better in my opinion.

I went to a workshop yesterday, and i can tell you there were about 30 - 40 managers and reps plus 3 area reps 4 planning people and the DSM.
When Managers and Reps as well sadly tried to argue against this agreement the DSM to his credit went into one and stated that the document had the CWU Logo and the RM logo
and that in his mind this made it Official. He then in no uncertain terms told everyone that they would be doing as the document said or god help them and heads would roll.
Even when Managers said they would not have enough time to Lapse if they were allowed to do D2D this way the DSM to his credit again said he did'nt care, thats the rules and that they
would just have find other ways to cover the duties if they needed covering !.
