Mr T will not like that, thats he does his DTD allways has. But he has them all prepped together before placing on the back of his bundles.

Still if local magers choose to let this continue, what do i do, insist on by the book and utterly piss off a loyal mbr who expects the CWU to look out for him who would then feel the CWU are not looking after him or do i just let them get on with it. I dont think putting them inside another item being stopped would be too much of a issue as management choose to let this go on and they could if they so wanted stop it, OPG's/Mbrs are well aware that it is offical RM policy that DTD should not be inside other DTD. Other members put DTD into another but then prep into frame, my floater does that.
Well to be honest Daz it's RM that wan't it that way.
It's, i think a quality and efficiency issue as most of this.
I don't think doorstep merging sits too well with pegasus and i think prepping into the frame means it is more likely to be delivered where it should be.
Also if you are pushing a trolley with one hand it's not very easy to carry a bundle of mail and a bundle of D2D with the other. :chuckle
We will soon see just how far RM are prepared to let the rules/guidelines slide.
All you can do as a rep is inform the members how it should be done and ask for their support, you can lead a horse etc etc......

I delivered 3 D2Ds this week and as a Part-time employee (payment is Pro-rata) I get paid less than the full-time person next to me who had none to deliver this week. Thanks for that CWU

There is no payment anymore for delivering d2d,people have to start realising this.

What about if delivering and prepping them means you work MORE than your contracted hours. Should the Pro-Rata payment be adjusted fairly and accordingly? If not, it's a con.

As long as I have worked for RM pro rata has always gone of contracted hours.
If delivering or prepping d2d causes you to go over your contracted hours you have 2 choices, book overtime for excess time worked or leave mail in office to enable you to finish on your time.
Not saying this is perfect or fair, just the way.
Not being paid for delivering d2d is something new but it is here for at least 3 years and probably for good so we will just have to get used to it and get on with it no amount of complaining on here will change it.
Unless of course you think HQ or PEC take notice of this site and set policy accordingly.

Ditto. Why the hell do RM not try and even the load. 4 last week, 1 this week. There has been nothing time critical. So why could they not have moved them about, customer approving, so that I had 3 last week and 3 this week.

What do you think the Delivery Supplement is for then? We were told by CWU the payment was to absorb D2D "Money in our pockets" i.e paid even when no D2Ds to deliver but what people need to realise is some months down the line we will be carrying 5 or 6 who knows and getting next to nothing for it! How did this get voted in?

I come from a "we get 3 every week" office.
A couple of weeks ago - none.
This week only 1.
I have seen a lot of people out delivering leaflets on my round and those that border it.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I've seen those people too, 4 of them took the same amount of time to deliver to my area as I did on my own :hmmmm (and they where throwing them at the gate if the path was too long for them  ).
