I often get a couple of hours sleep in the afternoon, which gets me out of chores like the washing up, then at least eight hours at night, unless I'm late back from the pub.

Came into this one a bit late, what can I say that hasn't already been said, except that I thought it was my age, now in my late 40's and thought that this was what it must feel like to be getting old! Then I had my Wallington week followed by a weeks holiday (never done that before) and lo and behold.....stayed up late and didn't ache like an old woman! went out at night time just like a nrmal person!!! No it's definitely the job.

I am 51 on cycle deliveries done 21yrs not all on deliveries only the last 6 yrs

But I am knackered also I tend to have a bite to eat when i get in depends on chores I may have a kip,before my son comes home from school

Then in the evening around 8-9pm I seem to fall asleep which i never done up till 2yrs ago

I also seem to wake up around 4am even though I don't get up till 5.45

Keep thinking how am I going to make it till 60 if the company does not go tits up like it seems on collision course to do

Its definetely the job & not age that has us all knackered..Constant pressure in the office then 10 mile or so out on delivery has to take its toll . Previous replies are correct , last 3 1/2 years tiredness has defo crept up

Not forgetting of course all the politics of the job, being tugged from pillar to post either by management or the union and often both can be very draining!
