island_boy wrote:sorry got to say from what you have posted i dont really see too much of a problem here, you said he is doing overtime, so its not as if he is coming in early and working for free, or is your opinion that no one should work overtime ever? at least the dom is willing to pay it and is not trying to insist on others absorbing this duty?
The new starters in our office (25 hour) all start off by doing the correct time then after a few days of their job not being thrown out, and them being told they are too slow because they cannot get completed on time (despite thier job not thrown out    ). Then they just give up and come in earlier and earlier, end up throwing the whole job out and the lino saves hours, genius in a devious unscrupulous scummy way.
Why are you, your colleagues and your rep letting this go on?
What do you suggest, violence? we tell them, constantly, but fear of losing the job drives them!
And the rep what is he doing or done about it?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes, its the 'ghosting' that gets my back up. I also agree with bandit650 and zx135, he's basically getting paid for hours that he is not working and if the managers could be bothered to out their coffee cups down for a minute they might see that he's taking the p*ss out of them as well. Surely?

It's just become 'the norm' in that particular office and its demoralising and makes me wonder where the feck this company is going. There are so many good, hard working people that go unappreciated whilst the road runners of this world get a pat on the back. We're all doomed :nervous

The rep has written letter after letter about management tactics, he has put in 3 dissagreements (all have been lost, lost as in misplaced) he has got area involved and nothing changed and now is in the process of getting division rep in. He naggs and naggs and naggs all who give in to management bullying to the point of becoming a bully himself...... and still it goes on. Believe me when i say he may as well be handcuffed and gagaed for all the effect he has.........i should know, i am the rep
