Boxed in and f****d up ~ 30 short.. Plus its now interfering with mail as you cant see narrow letters like Payslips, small Cards etc.... Why not let people make em up to put at the back of the bundle simple as, no hassle... Just need a CWU Rep with a back~bone to put it forward for us..

I was on A/L last week and someone else did the 1/6th splits, which i've noticed today is much more at the back end of the week when it's heavier, and so will also have to tweak. It's going to be difficult though as Sat, Mon, Tue, are shorter working days and so minimal D2Ds need to be done on these days really. As a consequence of having 4 D2ds this week and not being allocated into duty time, i culled a 1/4 of my walk Monday. If nothing is implemented then i can see this happening more and more on the shorter working days.
so how hard is it divide duty by 6 take that and job done

so how hard is it divide duty by 6 thats what you do each day say 100
next divide that number thats 50
mark 50 calls at the top of the frame 50 in the middle in 1 colour thats monday
for tuesday 50 at the top next in line and 50 at the bottom corner of the frame and carry on for each day but dont tell the dom its a secret

Unbelievable,no not the amount of threads on D2D's lol,but what's f***ing in them.

Jeeze guys come on,a lot of offices are playing with fire and all because they want that early finish by wacking out the shite as quick as they can.
A lot of you are getting screwed over by your managers and a lot of you are screwing yourselves.

Come on,wake up,or get your office to wake up!

Please.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

My day off today but I know my float has gone sick so I'm wondering if my D2Ds were done today. Our office has a very short Saturday shift so if they are still there it's either a failure or I cut off!
Now, more to the point, is anyone else going to be facing space issues in regards to storing these extra D2Ds? As it is this week, we only had 3 but we have a small office with space issues already a problem. I can imagine that when the D2Ds get up to steam and hit us with 5/6/? on a Sky mag week then we are really going to see some major H+S issues as far as trip hazards are concerned.
I started in my office a little over ten years ago and then there was talk of moving to a bigger office but you know, budgets and all that. They've just cut back on staff instead (but, to be fair, we are still an office full of folk doing things to suit themselves without realising that it's going to come back and bite them in the arse). Anyway, in a recent (and very rare, I might add) WTL session I mentioned the space issues to the new DOM, mentioning that if we are to use the new equipment they want us to use (HCTs, etc) then we are going to need more space. He didn't seem particuarly interested. Just wanted to make sure we understood how the D2Ds were going to work. I tried to say that I knew I was jumping the gun a little but surely looking at these things now would avoid headaches later but it didn't get me anywhere.
For the record, we've only had one HCT in the office and I had the joy of using it! My round is one of the flattest but even then it was unworkable in many regards so, if van sharing is the only option, where are we going to put the extra vans?!! Our yard is also very small! I've tried to convince other members to work as they should but they are still 'making hay while the sun shines' so it's the waiting game. Waiting until management push too far...as it is, I persoanlly think if everyone in our office did things properly then they would have to put hours back in to place instead of taking them out!

We've got 2 so far for next week ~ 1's a small thick catalougue and the other's a few paged leflet so fu©k knows how they're going into a frame that's has 2 address's per slot for 90%+ of the whole frame + How many bits of mail are going to get lodged within D2D's and posted through the wrong door - have RM really thought boxing D2d's in is the way to go because it's going to affect everyone.

Simple answer is to get them made up and stuck behind the bundle of mail.

Not allowed.
• Note: D2D items should not be merged with other mails at the doorstep

my hands are too small. I work from pocket in pouch. d2d's in there preped into one delivery form

No it just relates to the practice of carrying a seperate bundle of D2D and the merging with the mail on the doorstep.
They should be merged with the mail in your frame.

Working with d2d in hand at back of bundle saves time on indoor prep but makes delivery element longer due to picking from front & back of bundle at each delivery point.
I find if you prep d2d into frame and use it as a back marker for each delivery point it saves time flicking through each letter.
Also if all d2d are prepped in on a Monday you can deliver them to adresses you are going to over week therefore eliminating the need for cold calling with d2d.
Realise this will be difficult when it comes to 4,5&6 d2d

Oh

Mr T will not like that, thats he does his DTD allways has. But he has them all prepped together before placing on the back of his bundles.

Still if local magers choose to let this continue, what do i do, insist on by the book and utterly piss off a loyal mbr who expects the CWU to look out for him who would then feel the CWU are not looking after him or do i just let them get on with it. I dont think putting them inside another item being stopped would be too much of a issue as management choose to let this go on and they could if they so wanted stop it, OPG's/Mbrs are well aware that it is offical RM policy that DTD should not be inside other DTD. Other members put DTD into another but then prep into frame, my floater does that.

If all D2D are prepped in on a Monday what happens on a tuesday-Sat when you have no D2D to prep?
