So angry....just so betrayed. Especially being part time, I wish I'd been a scab years ago now....

I just do packets on the van. so this is a bit of a pay rise for me. But when things change they are getting rid of my duty and making the walkers do the packets themselfs in tag team vans. we already get the pre sorted walk sort mail and they say if there is a vote for yes they are gonna push it through in are office first in northwest. So im gonna pick a duty with the fewest houses on it or a rural duty.
Not happy about losing my early shift payment for and getting £8.00 a week for as many d2d's as they wanna give us. WHAT WAS THE POINT IN STRIKING???????????? :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Console yourself carl, you will still be able to deliver the packets as well as the delivery and maybe a collection on your way back :cuppa

At the moment the door to door payments can get you up to £30 to £40 a week in your pay packets. 600 - 700 calls on your duty. The proposal is for the postman to get a lot less payment for delivering another amount of households each week, be it whatever number you care to mention. How is losing up to £40 a week on your duty a pay rise? Can someone explain this to me? Why can't the management get rid of all the unaddressed items of mail and instead make every single of item in the office addressed? Get rid of door to door payments and give everyone a pay rise? You could bring in a new postmark and make it dirt cheap for companies to have their mail sent out. It would make the posties job a lot easier.

I read this in the voice mag "the new system treats everyone equally and shares out all of the money currently paid in door to door payments equally" The thing is we don't do all the fooking work equally do we !! You do the extra work you should be paid the extra money

It would save alot of time if d2d came pre stapled together, it's the same company called the leaflet company that makes them why can't an arrangement be made for that?

I agree that putting d2d in an envelope people would put straight in the bin but a booklet or leaflets stapled together people would probably glance at it on their way to the bin.
