You could come up with your own or use the FT options as a Template. However, I would think that to cover it you would need to either:
a. Increase your time on deliveries either on every day, or on Saturdays only to cover the extra days off.
b. Increase your indoor work by adding IPS on to the duties.
Both of these choices are what entails FT to go for 1 in 4 Saturdays off so can't see why PTs should not be allowed. Although TBH I think option B is the least likely as DOMs would not go for it.

Where does it say you HAVE to work Fri Sat Mon. It is an option if there are people willing.
What is wrong with you people?
Disgusted from p/t could be a new comedy character.
1. As my contract doesn't stipulate attendance or hours, I could in theory be told that this is what I now have to do
2. Whats wrong with people is that this deal favours full timers only. I don't mean to be the new el cartero but do you seriously expect us part timers to grin and bear it?
3. Thanks for the support, in our office our full timers stand up for us part timers
The problem could be that 'some' offices would be so desperate to get these saturdays off that they would do anything to get them.
Most full timers are senior to part timers so go figure.
Now if vacant duties were to be put for the weekend only then that's kinda different.

If you have read the menu you either haven't read it properly or you haven't understood it.
All posties are entitled to 1 in 4 Saturdays off. Obviously Saturday contracts are not included in that.
Among the options are indeed P/T options for fewer days work if they work Fri/Sat/ Mon. But nowhere I can see, does it say that will be obligatory for any staff.
Some people may prefer that option because it will save them childcare costs through the week but it is an option not an obligation.
Do you think all P/T staff across the country will now be working Fri/Sat/Mon?

Surely that means bypassing seniority?

I tyotally agree with shepherdess. Im quite happy with my 1 saturday every 6 weeks. We have a rotating day off in the week which some of us less fit individuals find beneficial in breaking up the week. Not all of us want a saturday off as everywhere is cluttered with people and noisy children. During the week its lovely and quiet with no hassle from anyone.

But like i said earlier CCR who decides?
The individual or the collective?

I've read and understood the options, my issue is that I've been told that my contract is for 25 hours with no set finishing time and no attendance pattern, probably in preparation for these changes. My concern is that I could be forced into one of these options against my will because of my contract, and I'm guessing a fair few part timers are wondering the same

You know me FT. It should always be the collective that decides.
If it's good enough for a farm in the Ukraine it should be good enough for RM.
Haven't got much time for "the individual".

Not sure what you mean, what i mean is,'some' offices/reps will come up with a deal (local agreement)that is best for the majority, and unfortunately part timers are not the majority.
So if a rep puts a plan together and it involves part time duties being on the weekend you can imagine the vote.
Vacant duties where there is no one on them could be made into w/e part time duties therefore not putting anybodys nose out of joint, those who come into the job will come in on those terms.
Ftr i despise the p/t f/t animosity.

That's the bit i don't understand Shirl.
These new duty patterns won't as far as i'm aware come in until the revision and subsequent repick.
That means these weekend P/T duties would have to be included in the re-pick or "ring-fenced" as Weekend Only P/T duties.
Unless you just mean replacing any P/T that leaves with a weekend only part-timer which would work in the long run but would take years in my D.O.
I hope some of the above makes sense.

Shirl is lost LOL.
This isn't my idea btw i'm just pointing out what could happen during a revision.
