Best of luck to Dave C in Burslem who had his appeal heard today, lets hope that the appeal manager is allowed to do a proper job!

I do hope the appeal gives the right outcome. i do not like to see colleagues of mine on the picket line losing money and i know its not about money but moral justice for those who have been put through a very baised and draconian procedure in favour of those people who call themselves managers.

I have heard on the grapevine that the industrial action ballot our union have fought for as been granted by the PEC so come on lets get the word out and become proactive and take this dispute to the heart of every workplace in the ST area . RM SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TREAT PEOPLE IN THIS WAYAND SHOULD NOW GET THE MESSAGE FROM US ALL.

As for the job the Stoke Socialist Party are doing managers in our area that have come across there flyers are not very happy about Whats in it so carry on boys and do your stuff it must be hitting a nerve.

Time for a little bit of a waiting game now!! Both Big Dave and Mick Kavanagh, the Divisional Union rep who did the appeal(and has worked hard throughout, thanks Mick), seem happy with the case that was put accross and believe that if the appeals manager is allowed to make a decision then Dave will win the appeal however both of them are under no illusions that the appeals manager may have already been instructed by a higher manager to sack Dave regardless of the evidence in front of her. A few more weeks to get a decision(3,4,5??? ) hopefully it will be worth the wait. Until then further strikes seem likely . Big Dave has said that he would like to thank everyone on this site for their support even though he probably can't even turn a computer on himself, he is aware of many of the comments and support so;

I've seen Big Dave today. He's keeping his spirits up after yesterdays appeal hearing. Lets hope that he will soon be back amongst his friends in Burslem DO. As for Dave not knowing how to turn a computer on, he still thinks a PC is a copper, a mouse is something a cat chases and a micro chip is something you put salt and vinegar on.

On a slightly sad note but still quite funny ,after leaveing the picket line on Saturday morning , the local cherubs(between 20-30 according to the fire brigade) decided to come along on Saturday night have have a little bonfire of their own ,nearly 100 pallets and a nearby telegraph pole and a building I guess they thought that the brazier didn't look warm enough. Still more supplies arrived in time for Monday so not too much harm done.

Technology is not Dave's forte. He still uses hand signals when he's driving because he can't find the indicators. left turn, I might go either way, where was i going, you're not coming past.

Now dave has a bit of trouble telling the difference between a Copper n a Personal Computer i hear! And how to turn One on.. All I say is DONT RUB THE COPPER'S SIDE AND BUY A DRINK.. Then he will be in the shite.. The CWU wont be able to get him out of that little scrape All i say is im glad he knows hand signals, as the 2 fingered salute works wonders to a screw on a delivery im told??
