a word of warning;do this officially and through your union rep.
i know of someone who went to the top-ie his regional manager, off his own bat-and got a transfer to the office he wanted.
unfortunately he was conned and ended up having a part time job instead of the full time one he had previously held for years.
please, take heed and do it through the official, union channels!

btw i would imagine your grade in question is probably "opg".

Does anybody know how easy it is to transfer from one office to another at the moment?
With the state Royal Mail is in, was wondering if it was easy to transfer and keep your full time hours?

Depends on the office, might be best to contact the office/s you want yourself to see what the score is.
It seems very rare lately that you can keep FT hrs when transferring though.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
