hi can me if im wrong but the £400 paid to full timers was for the agreement btw rm and cwu being accepted ( paid), are you on about the £400 for the profit made for the tax year 09 / 10 (share holders) as was agreed , as we have not heard anything , seems to have been swept under the carpet as usual , any union reps got any idea ?gb93 wrote:It was posted in another thread that all staff in post 31st march 2010 would now receive the £400(pro rata).
Any idea when this will be paid to people as Doms here seem to know nothing about it.
It was a National not Local agreement I take Dingo.

Re: Question for Dingo
The payment being made on Friday to a FEW people is the £400 pro rata payment for ratifying the 2010 agreement which MOST of us have allready recieved.
Basically it is for people who have started in the last year or so and didn't qualify for the payment originally.
Now workotime the money I think you are talking about is the payment everybody was due in June. Now here comes the clever part of deal as a sweetner for saying yes to the deal we were offered £400 which we were due anyway no matter how the vote went there is no colleague share payment now this year it was used to push deal through
I hope that is clear AND correct

The exact words of the national agreement
The agreement was very clear on the £400 being CS money and not a extra sum of money, the CWU rep that looks after your workplace should be aware of these words in the national agrement and informed the members correctly,I get the impression that has not happened?
ColleagueShare/Lump Sums
As part of these negotiations Royal Mail and CWU have reviewed the ColleagueShare scheme. As a result the scheme has been enhanced in the following areas:
-
The 2010 dividend payment linked to business results due to be announced in June has been brought forward and the dividend will now be paid on ratification of the agreement.
Further on under reward summary the agreement says
£400 lump sum (previously final ColleagueShares dividend) paid to all employees upon ratification of agreement.
Sadly CWU and RML got the wording wrong and ended up telling us something different from what they agreed. What has happened since the payment for ratification was made is RML have agreed that start date no longer has any impact on how much you get. Therefore its a straight £10 for every contracted hour. For PT who have done overtime during 2009/2010 thos extar hours are included for the pupose of working out how much each PT will get. For me on a 30 hour week I had £300 along with £2 to cover a small amount of overtime worked during 2009/2010.

Re: Question for Dingo
can i just tag another question on? how is it that my area rep told me, that since i didnt work early shift anymore i couldn`t really complain about the withdrawl of my ESA, but he forgot to tell me that even though he is f/t release he signed for the nightshift and so pockets a nice allowance for nightshift, any idea why union reps should fill thier boots on allowances whilst telling us to get on with it? eh dingo

Re: Question for Dingo
I despair sometimes about the lack of info some RMCers seem to get from their reps, I made it clear to my members at the time that CS was being brought forward if a yes vote and that RM half year figures suggest we could be fairly certain that RM will hit targets and £400 will be paid out around late spring early summer. Therefore the £400 should have had no bearing for or against the agreement.
Its almost like some reps dont read agreements and LTBs

Re: Question for Dingo
Did you also inform them that the transformation lumps sums(£1000) was also CS money because i feel we are going to have this same problem again in a few months.Big Daz wrote:I despair sometimes about the lack of info some RMCers seem to get from their reps, I made it clear to my members at the time that CS was being brought forward if a yes vote and that RM half year figures suggest we could be fairly certain that RM will hit targets and £400 will be paid out around late spring early summer. Re: Question for Dingo
not being funny, but cant see clear answer from question asked, did the £400 we just receive for agreeing to change or is it the colleague shares payment wrapped up in fancy wording?

Just remember: It's HQ who let us down. Not (in my experience) the local/area Reps who see the reality of our jobs, on a regular basis.

Re: Question for Dingo
Royal mail group intranet has a small article on it saying we are receiving our final colleague shares payment in June! Make sense of that if you can?!
