Burglars broke into the Royal Mail delivery office on Tuesday night and stole some parcels.
They smashed their way into the front office of the Stafferton Way building via a glass window at about 11.30pm.
A large sign was up outside the office the following morning to inform people who had come to collect post what had happened.
A spokesperson for Royal Mail said "We can confirm that there was a break-in at the Maidenhead Delivery Office last night and a small number of parcels were stolen, there were no special delivery items taken."
Police confirmed they were called to the scene on Wednesday and are investigating the incident.
