Shock and horror - we had a WTLL Session tonight....

Any coincidence that the MAIN topic was how much PROFIT RM have made....... :arrrghhh
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Well it's quiet on nights, but the late shift always seems to struggle to clear for some reason, and so we have to mop up for them. Probably down to cost-cutting and having less people in on overtime etc..

Same reason here........ Late Shift go on a "Go-Slow", leave all the boxes AND the Machine's full...

Be interesting to see if we get a WTLL session this week - cancelled AGAIN last week due to "Operational Requirements"
What about having it at the end of the shift? :hmmmm

End of shift???

We're too busy running around trying to get the mail out for dispatch, whilst the PDC Packets/Letters just stand there with coats on and watch....
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Our work time learning in Inverness consists of " we dont have anything to say, any questions ? nope, right back to work " takes 2 mins and a waste of time !!

Its just as bad in delivery offices
briefs are as rare as rocking horse ****
we get called over at a moments notice at a busy time when trying to prep our rounds.
its never a sit down job, just stand or shuffle around for two mins while they say their bit.
they dont like questions this is why they choose busy times!
guys drifting back to their prep before hes finished half the time.
I'm a postman-and i know where you live.....

Anyone got an idea of how many staff are supposed to attend WTTL sessions at any one time :hmmmm it's been the case lately at our place that two groups are in together(over 30 people last week) if the manager is'nt the confident type then the session can turn into several conversations at the one time and not on the intended subject :d'oh! although it must be said it's often better than a lot of dross we have to endure at times :confused thanks in advance.

I'm a part-time worker at Thames Valley Mail Centre I never had WTLL since I started with the company over the year ago. Is this normal?

I work at North West Midlands Mail Centre (Wolverhampton) and we get our WTL sessions every week with the odd exception.
I must point out that we are working later and later as the weeks go on so I imagine we will soon start to see our sessions cancelled also.
