Cant they afford £400 for PT?

Still a big let down, the moral course of action is to pay the £400 in full to everyone as per the wording of the agreement.

RML should pay up and along with the CWU learn to be more intelligent with their words next time!!!
Probably cant afford it but can they afford to have millions in W/S machines laid up & all these new vans parked up
but yet?

Blimey, that's the first time I've ever seen the word 'intelligent' in the same sentence as 'CWU' :left:

For Buy down bods like myself we accept it when we take the buydown, but the agreement implies that this year we would get full whack as we didnt I feel mislead and the only moral course of action is to pay up and for CWU/RML to say we made a mistake and we are putting it right!!

Bonus payments are always, and have always been paid pro rata, regardless of whether it makes it clear in the agreement. You'd think everyone would know by now. If anyone is on a 20 hour contract and expected the full £400 then more fool them.

It's just another bandwagon to jump on and complain about.

I knew it would be prorata, I've worked for RM for a couple of years, but what about the guys who haven't been with the company so long who know bugger all about the way they work.

If they didn't want to pay £400 to all employees, then they shouldn't have put it in the bloody agreement on the rewards summary. REWARDS SUMMARY that's the part that most of the newer people (and some of the older ones too) would have read and voted on.

Anyhoo, thnx dingo, I think that is a wee bit better now, not brilliant, but at least a step in the right direction :)

At least some of the newer guys are getting a wee bit of what they voted on

Most of the opgs that take no interest in this forum and no interest in the full written wording of the agreement, voted I would say primarily on the Rewards section, and would have been snared by the money that they knew they could pick up immediately and not by the ifs and buts money in the future. This vote I believe has been grossly manufactured to produce a positive result for the company/union coalition, and I believe that the wording of the payment of the £400 was purposely misrepresented to achieve their aims. The result is a sham and there should be a re-run of the ballot.

Judging by the differing amounts people were given as part timers I would say the bonus was not strictly based on your contracted hours but on average overtime. I am not a fan of pro-rata but have to admit RM were fairer than they could have been.

Yes Pat. Overtime got taken into account.

But it still wasn't the £400 stated on the rewards summary of the agreement!

Contracted Hours + Overtime averaged over the last tax year (April to April)

So pro-rata for PTs (No mention of that in the agreement)

Based on length of service for newbies (not mentioned in the agreement)

Taking O/T into account to f*ck over everybody else (not mentioned in the agreement)

The whole thing was a pile of crap, should be re-balloted with the actual intentions of RM and the CWU made clear, it's shocking because everybody from area reps and DOMs upwards seem to be in on the scam.

Dingo, what happened to the LTB that you said was going out on Monday to explain the reason why us part timers have not been paid the full £400 as per the agreement. Are they having a job to explain their position?

Not at all - they are still waiting for RM to tell them what to say.
