My office has 'planned' 3.5 hours deliveries for the towns but they're more like 4 hours for normal people and the van duties are 5 hours plus.

im on a 24 hr contract and lucky if i get 90% of my walk thrown in - never mind any d2d's, how am i supposed to prep and deliver d2d's as well as the usual shite for 5 days in 24hrs? :cfo , at the moment i sublet them to an overtime junky. What about the current van drivers?, they are being paid the supplement then they should deliver some¬!¬!!!

We currently do 3 D2D and our dim dom is trying to lapse another duty so not sure about doing 4 will stop him trying to lapse another duty

Please don't jump on me but calm down guys,it's not the end of the world.
You come in,you prep the s**t,you make sure your bags are the correct weight,and do what you can.
Sticking together as an office will make things easier.

Now,you are aware of what could be hapening in June then July,now is the time to get your office together to warn them and to tell them to do the job properly.

Stick together..........please.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

well if i have to prep my d2d's, and whatevers not thrown in, kill deads, do redirections,tie up travel to delivery (20 mins min as last out of van) 20 mins break and delivery in 4 hrs, i can see me cutting off everyday :Very Happy


then again the union probably got rid of breaks for part timers and forgot to put it into the agreement :wink:

reminds me of the gang of four :wink: are they in order of who's the biggest bullsh*ter or just a general sort group ?

As others have said there should have been a revision done before any office changes to the delivery supplement and any increase in d2d's. Others on here will say that it is up to the dom to make it workable but god help us, they struggle to run an office as it is at the moment. More cases of B&H will be appearing and more and more PT staff will be leaving because bog all of their delivery will have been prepped and the pressure on them will increase from the waiting heart attack who sits in his office with his head in his hands. :no no :no no Poor planning yet again :no no :no no

when this new d2d does come in what you have to remember that a company can say right i want this d2d done that day they pay extra to royal mail and we have got to do it that day includin the other 5 in ye frame not sayin do it all but there will be no room to move haha :dance

That service is still to be devloped, It will be very tricky to make it work without good will.


Good idea, but thats no guarantee it can be turned into a viable working reality.
