John_McC wrote:Ok my head is spinning now ! what I'm trying to say is that if this deal goes through then we all get (F/T & P/T) the 2% rise. But once the 1 hour reduction is put in place for F/T'ers then the hourly rate for F/T will change and you will have two rates of pay one for F/T and one for P/T ? so to make sure they stay the same there has to be two rates of increase to maintain same rate of pay :crazy:
nearly;

No we all get the 2% on ratification and then on reduction to a 39hr FT week we all in essence get a 2% increase in the hourly rate.

Best way to see it for me is that imagine we all get a 2% rise at the same time when FT goes to a 39hour week. In this way PT get a 2% rise but work the same hours getting more money per hour.

The FT get the same rise but this is offset by the reduction in the hours worked. Result is we are on the same hourly rate just that FT work 1 hour less and PT basic weekly wage increases.

Hello all, I start as an OPG in a couple of weeks time - 25 hours P/T @ £7.82 p/h.
Would I be expected to do any overtime (if there is any) and what (roughly) can I expect to come out with a week after stoppages??

Cheers

Am I correct in saying that all p/t delivery staff now receive £8.86 p/h??

Is this including the additional rate to compensate for our full time colleagues getting a 39 hour week?

Their hourly rate WILL go up to compensate for the SWW.Not sure what the rate is though,what is the standard rate for us at the mo?

No the PTs will only get the increase when the FTs go to 39 hours in their Office. AFAIUI presently the hourly rate for PT is based on the weekly wage for a 40 man divided by 40 and multiplied by their contracted hours. When the change happens it will be based on the FT wage being divided by 39.

Just a quick example. The figures are wrong but it makes the math easier.

If a FT got £400 for a 40 hour week :pray :pray then a 30hr duty would get £300
under the 39 hour system the PT would get £307.69p

Only for established staff, new starters have a lower rate of pay, move to full whack after a year maybe more knowing RML.

That starts when the secuenced mail revision is implemented in your D.O

FT move to 39 hour week and PT pay becomes Basic pay and supplement / 39 X however many hours each PT is contracted to do.
