Re: 4.40pm finish on saturday(6am start)!!!!
I wasn't aware our contracts of employment stated we should work 10hrs 40 mins on a saturday.........I will have to re-read mine.
All joking aside, you are contracted to work 7hr 20 mins with a 40 min paid break.............so do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a local union meeting upcoming, which i will be attending, regarding a total RESIGN for the whole office.If/when this is agreed RM with have the means to change ANY duty time and content!I know that RM have some proposals already forwarded to the local union rep,who will no doubt tell us about them in the meeting.I have spoken to a few friendly managers who tell me they have seen the proposed new hours and content and although they cant tell me the details, have told me they are WORSE than now!
Will let you know the outcome when i have it...........

Re: 4.40pm finish on saturday(6am start)!!!!
cant tell mate for obvious reasons, but have heard its because of the walk sequencing leaving the office later,so the deliveries finished later,so it has a knock on effect for afternoon collections on a saturday...kh wrote:ok thanks what m/c is this

Your walk sequencing should be done on Nights to account for your intra and then your arrivals!

This was agreed by the rep, what management wanted was a 06:00 -13:30 tues- friday and then a 10 hour duty on a saturday, which would have only had a 30 min m/r tues - friday. and as you know most weekdays you get away by 13.40pm.
to me this was a good deal as you come in at 6 for 2 hr s/a and then at 8 get a 30 m/r, and still get a 20 min break around 10 then a 40 min break at 12.20.
