The scene of the accident involving a Royal mail van and an Audi car that blocked Spring Road in Ipswich early Monday morning


ONE of the major routes into Ipswich has been blocked this morning after a Royal Mail lorry and a car collided, threatening chaos at rush hour.

The accident happened at around 6.30am in Spring Road at the junction Howard Street, outside the Bricklayers Arms pub.

Spring Road is blocked and a Suffolk police spokesman said: “It appears the Royal Mail van has gone into a fence at the pub.”

The spokesman said no one has been injured in the crash.

Diversions have been set up.

I wonder if RM tried to impose the 30 minutes? Although in my office even if the lorry arrives on time we still struggle to finish on time.
