Re: Phone in to Confirm your Specials (UPDATE)
Do not sign the WTLL sheet just put a cross if you feel the need as this can be and is an extention to your contract of employment! If you use your own mobile to confirm then work out the cost and bill RM for O/T to cover the cost. If you do not wish to use your mobile then get them to give you CASH for a public phone box in case the free phone number is not working, and if its broken ect inform the locker of why you have failed the SPs as soon as you get back. Get in touch with your Area or Div Rep if you are having trouble with your Unit Rep and if that fails contact Bob Gibson at, bgibson@cwu.org and talk to him. If that fails talk to Dave Ward at dward@cwu.org Keep all the Emails and post them here if they all f*ck up.
CONDEMNATION.

as 3 network offer free 3 to 3 calls then get all 3 phones and they will have no bills either, seems simple eh?

Re: Phone in to Confirm your Specials (UPDATE)
Once again this is the company fault because they are to tight to buy all delivery staff a cheap phone, when i was a rep i challenged the union to sort this out but nothing came of it, as usual.
My argument saying not just for confirming delivery's but for the delivery staffs personal safety, what if someone had a accident, say they fell and broke a leg in a remote place and no one was about and they had no mobile phone..
The company and the so called union are a joke.

I have an LG and I'm not going to take a £13 phone out of my pocket. . . for anyone.
I still can't get my head round this. Why 'confirm' or otherwise, at all? Why can't they just see what's been delivered and what hasn't when you get back to the office?

Re: Phone in to Confirm your Specials (UPDATE)
I assume some of those specials will already be on the vans because of their size.fishtank wrote:Can't comment on Jenny's office but mine.... 300-400 reg on the vans.POSTMAN wrote:Jenny, your rep is a twat.

If /When we move to later deliveries the spec isn't going to change.
Either we change the way we do them or we end up failing more than we currently do, and management have to accept the consequent compensation payouts and potential loss of business.

Because if the information isn't back by 1.30 then the item shows up as a failure in the system.NewPostieUK wrote:I have an LG and I'm not going to take a £13 phone out of my pocket. . . for anyone.
