After working in both Mail Centres and Delivery I can honest say Mail Centre work is just a doss!! All the hard graft is in delivery of the stuff! So when you moan about delivery staff getting this payment and getting that payment just think about that! If you did want to recive the same as Delivery staff then have you thought about asking to be put out onto a delivery?? Thought not!!!

lets get one thing straight we both work for Royal Mail I get a basic and a shift allowance due to working lates. You get a basic and then a chance to earn more by doing your job because of call rates? and D2D. I don't get that chance of getting extra just doing my job. As for doing delivery or Processing I chose to do Processing because I have had enough of running around! I don't use my car or go in early or leave early yet Delivery have done this for years whilst being told by union HQ to do the job correctly!

MC staff get large bonuses every now and again so don't be making out you are hard done by :no no In delivery our job was job and finish up until 2007, all above board until :cfo decided to use it against us. 99% of us start on time and as for using cars the whole of my area have'nt used cars for years. You really do have a chip on your shoulder regarding delivery staff don't you :cuppa

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

not everyone comes in early and runs around lets face it mail centre work is hardly taxing is it picking up a small bundle sticking it in a tray or picking it up to manualy sort, throwing the odd packet in the drop bags ...you chose the easy option if you want the right to earn a little extra come onto deliveries those that chose mail centre work usually do so because they can no longer cope with delivery work loads

Bloody hell how quick you are to attack a fellow union member. For the record I will not do over time because it should go to make up a job period. At any time of the year! How quick you put your names down to do a fellow worker out of a job! We don't get bonuses at ALL in my MC. Anyway I have said my piece and I would like to say Semper Fi to the CWU!
